Check the destination first
Read the full domain name, not just a logo. HTTPS protects the connection but does not prove that an organisation is trustworthy. Unexpected domain changes, misspellings and missing legal information are reasons to pause.
Understand the data exchange
Find the privacy notice before submitting details. Check what is collected, why it is needed, who it is shared with, whether it is used for marketing and how long it is retained. A survey may ask about health, finances or household members; those questions deserve extra care.
Distinguish necessary from optional
A consent checkbox for marketing is not the same as agreement to take part in research. Read each choice separately. Decline optional permissions you do not want. If participation requires more access than you are comfortable granting, choose not to participate.
Keep account access private
Never share passwords, one-time verification codes, banking login details or remote access to your device. Do not reuse an important account password. A request to pay a fee just to release a supposed reward should prompt additional scrutiny, not immediate payment.
Plan how to leave
Locate the provider’s account deletion, consent withdrawal and privacy-request process. Your rights depend on applicable law and the organisation involved. Keep the provider’s contact details; Opportunity Guide cannot access or delete information held by another service.
Know what happens on this site
Our search and filters run in your browser. We do not ask you to create an account or submit a personal-information form. Optional Meta advertising measurement runs only after you accept it in Privacy preferences. The hosting service may keep technical request logs, and a destination site has its own data practices. Read our privacy notice for the boundaries.
